Warrenton wins state band title

Warrenton High School’s band won the 3A division at the 2015 Oregon School Activities Association band state championships held Wednesday at Oregon State University.

Warrenton placed ahead of Rainier and Dayton. The Warriors compete in the 3A-1 Lewis & Clark League, as does Rainier.

Warrenton won the state championship in the 3A division in 2014; placed second in 2013 and 2012; and won in 2011, 2009 and 2008.

In the 4A division this year, Seaside High School placed third, just behind Scappoose and North Bend high schools.
