Another fun week on the 911 Twitter watch, where eyebrow-raising calls to area dispatch center take centerstage. Former reporter Chelsea Gorrow started a Twitter feed at www.twitter.com/9_1_WHAT to point out calls that may not be the best use of the service.

http://bit.ly/1A0c7yb: {8/4 @ 8:26 p.m.} A caller was concerned about a person sitting in a car at the Mini Mart for 2 hrs. Person was using Mini Mart’s free WIFI.

http://bit.ly/1B0yFQS: {7/31 @ 11:22 a.m.} A female, applying eye make-up while driving, was warned on the Astoria Bridge for not staying in her lane.
