Lutefisk, a traditional holiday, and often misunderstood dish of the Nordic countries, will be available on the North Coast at 1 p.m. Saturday at Suomi Hall, 244 W. Marine Drive. The Astoria Finnish Brotherhood Auxiliary’s Holiday Celebration will feature a Lutefisk (or meatball) dinner with all the trimmings.

Tickets cost $20 per person for “all you can eat” and include an entry for holiday gift baskets. There will also be continuous entertainment by local musicians and an opportunity to shop for handmade holiday ornaments and crafts. A bake sale will feature Scandinavian treats such as prune tarts, cardamom bread and holiday cookies. A silent auction will also be featured.

Tickets are available at Finn Ware or One Six Five West Bond in Astoria. Advance reservations are recommended. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event.
