MANZANITA - The congregation of St. Catherine Episcopal Church will celebrate the opening of the new church building located between Manzanita and Nehalem at 36355 U.S. Highway101. There will be an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Local architect Tom Bender will be on hand for questions. Tours of the church will be available and photographs and remembrances will be on display.

There will be the regular Holy Eucharist at 8 a.m. and a dedication and Holy Eucharist at 3 p.m. The Rt. Rev. Johncy Itty, bishop of Oregon, assisted by St. Catherine's vicar, the Rev. Paul Barthelemy, will dedicate and consecrate the new church. This dedication will mark the culmination of years of planning and work by the congregation, which has made its home at Underhill Plaza in Manzanita for the past 38 years.
