Team Marisa will hold a benefit dinner evening from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Cannon Beach Hotel Cafe, 1116 S. Hemlock Drive in Cannon Beach. All proceeds from raffle ticket sales and dinners sold that evening will go to the March of Dimes. No reservations are necessary. There will also be a raffle to win a one-night stay at the Cannon Beach Hotel.
Team Marisa will also hold its annual fundraising garage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 23 and 24 at the big blue garage behind Pacific Bank in Gearhart. On April 25, half price day, the hours will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and there will be a "bag" hour from 2 to 3 p.m., when customers are urged to bring a bag and fill it for $1.
Items are still needed to sell at the sale. Some examples would include: household items that are in good clean working condition, clean children's clothes without stains, rips, holes or tears, toys and in-great-condition furniture. Donations are needed by April 15. A March of Dimes receipt will be provided that may be tax deductible.
