ILWACO, Wash. - Mack Funk will be the new master of Occident Lodge No. 99, Free and Accepted Masons of Washington.

He will take over the gavel from Les Moore at an installation of officers at the lodge in Ilwaco at 2 p.m. Dec. 3.

Other officers to be installed are Jim Tongue, senior warden; Jim Maffett, junior warden; Howard Cole, senior deacon: Jim Gardner, junior deacon; Art Herring, secretary and treasurer; Norm Grier, chaplain; Sandy Welsh, marshal; Larry Brocker, senior steward; Bill Tubbs, junior steward; and Moore, tyler.

The installing officers will be Walt Twidwell, installing master; Sherm Richmond, installing marshal; Dobby Wiegardt, installing chaplain; and Cole, installing secretary.

Music for the open public ceremony will be provided by Barbara Poulshock.

Refreshments will be served afterward.

The Ilwaco-based Masonic lodge meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:30 p.m., often with a dinner before the meeting. All Masons, including those visiting the coast, are welcome to attend.
