Medix Ambulance Service has announced that nationally registered Senior Paramedic Brian Roth of Seaside was the recipient of the Star of Life in Washington, D.C. The award was presented at the American Ambulance Association's 17th annual Stars of Life event, held May 3-6, which publicly recognizes and celebrates the achievements of people working in the ambulance industry.

Roth has been employed at Medix Ambulance for four years, and is a field training officer. He was joined by other emergency medical services personnel from across the nation during the event, which featured a banquet and presentation ceremony. The event provided the opportunity for individual meetings with the members of Congress on Capitol Hill, a guided tour of Washington and other activities.
