Clatsop County Public Works Department is inviting residents and property owners to neighborhood meetings about the planned Logan Road widening and paving project.

The meetings will be Tuesday at 6 p.m. and Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Netel Grange on Logan Road.

The county plans to widen and pave the 2.25 miles of Logan Road from its intersection with Tucker Creek Road south to its intersection with Lewis and Clark Road. Construction of the $1.2 million project is scheduled for 2005.

At the neighborhood meetings, Public Works staff will have photographs and drawings of the construction project to help show the impacts of the construction for each adjacent property within the project.

Staff will explain possible impacts and be available to answer questions. The meetings will be informal. Comments and concerns will be shared with the Board of Commissioners. County commissioners may be present at the neighborhood meetings to listen.

Residents and property owners who cannot attend either neighborhood meeting can contact the Public Works Department at 325-8631 or send their comments and concerns about the project to: Logan Road Project, Clatsop County Public Works, 1100 Olney Ave., Astoria, OR 97103.
