SEASIDE - A "Welcome to Spring Break" dinner is being hosted by the Seaside United Methodist Church, in cooperation with the Sunset Empire Park and Recreation District, from 5 to 7 p.m. March 22 at the Bob Chisholm Community Center, 1225 Avenue A in Seaside. The menu consists of spaghetti with gourmet meat or vegetarian sauce, salad, garlic bread, beverage and dessert, including pies made by members of the Seaside United Methodist Church.

In addition, there will be a magic show from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center. The purpose of the event is to welcome visitors to Seaside. Portions of the proceeds will support families in need and the food bank.

Dinner tickets are available in advance at the Seaside Pool, Bob Chisholm Community Center, from members of the church, at the Magic Show and at the door during the dinner. Suggested donations are: adults, $9; seniors (65 and older), $7; and children (ages 4-14), $4. Children younger than age 4 are free, and families (up to four members) are $24.
