LONG BEACH, Wash. - The Washington Pacific County chapter of A.B.A.T.E. is sponsoring the ninth annual Care Bear Program stuffed animal drive beginning Sunday and running through Nov. 17. The Care Bear Program provides patrol cars and hospitals with stuffed animals to be given to children who are victims of traffic accidents, domestic violence, and the like. Drop-off sites for stuffed animals include the New Life Church in Ilwaco, the Fish Trap Tavern in Chinook and Leather Unlimited in Long Beach.
