Continued traffic detours and parking restrictions are planned in Astoria, as "The Ring II" crew works to finish filming and make up for "uncooperative" weather over the weekend.
"We are trying to accommodate and understand how people are being imposed upon," said location manager Craig van Gundy. "We're trying the best we can to minimize the impact of what we're doing and to get our work done."
Here is their plan for the rest of the week:
Thursday from 6 p.m. to midnight on 14th and Duane streets, no parking will be permitted on 14th Street between the river front and Kensington. Parking will also be prohibited on Duane Street between 15th and 11th streets.
The company is shooting at the intersection of 10th and Jerome tonight and Wednesday and Thursday nights. Through traffic will be detoured around the intersection during the early evening and night. Residents will always be able to get to their homes.
Expect additional interruptions Thursday, as the company films 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the 11th Street stairs. No on-street parking will be permitted from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The crew is also filming Thursday at 16th Street and Grand Avenue.
The Old Youngs Bay Bridge will be closed 7:45 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights.
The cast and crew are expected to leave by Sunday.
