A new building that could house the proposed Compass Community Bank in Clatsop County is taking shape in Seaside, across from the Seaside Factory Outlet Center on Hwy 101.

Proposed Compass Community Bank CEO and President Steve Ferber said he expects approval this month on the bank's FDIC (Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation) and State of Oregon applications.

The 6,700 sq. ft. banking facility will feature a double drive through, with both drive-up and walk-up ATM machines.

Building owner Terry Lowenberg, of Beach Development, LLC, said the structure as a whole encompasses about 14,000 sq. ft.

The multi-tenant building still has three offices available for lease on the second floor.

(Correction: The article incorrectly stated information about the commercial space still available in the building. The correct information is that the new building, across from the Seaside Outlet Mall on Hwy. 101, still has three offices available for lease on the ground floor level.
