SEASIDE - Seaside residents have even more opportunities to learn how to set and use National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Weather Radios.

In an effort to bring all Seaside residents in compliance with a 2006 city ordinance requiring the purchase and use of NOAA Weather Radios in all new buildings, Seaside Tsunami Prep is holding three training sessions in the month of October.

Workshops are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bob Chisholm Senior and Community Center, 1225 Ave. A, Seaside; noon Oct. 12 at the Seaside Public Library, 60 N. Roosevelt, Seaside; and 10 a.m. Oct. 13 at the Bob Chisholm Senior and Community Center.

Attendees wishing to purchase a weather radio during the training session are asked to bring three "AA" batteries.

Radios are priced at $15 for Seaside residents with a photo identification. The price for radios purchased for businesses or by non-Seaside residents is $30.
