SCAPPOOSE - As expected, the Seaside wrestling team will send a handful of wrestlers to the state meet, including two league champions.

Kyle Oathes and Josiah Sigler both won individual titles in the Cowapa League championships, Friday and Saturday in Scappoose.

Oathes pinned Justin Engeseth of Banks in the title bout at 145 pounds, while Sigler scored a fall over Tillamook's Pat Ryan in the final at 160.

Also headed to state for the Gulls will be third-place finishers Elrycc Berkman (103) and Eric Bodell (125).

Astoria will send two of the Banta brothers to state. Jake Banta reached the finals at 215 before losing to Adam Barichio of Tillamook. Josh Banta won the consolation final for third place at 160.

Tillamook won the team title with 347 points, followed by Scappoose (287) and Rainier (208).
