Vicki Jo Craft, 54, of Warrenton, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, in Warrenton, after a long battle with breast cancer.
She was born April 30, 1956, in Richland, Wash., to Norman Maitland Craft of Denbigh, N.D., and Lillian (Parker) Craft of Woods. Her parents preceded her in death.
Ms. Craft was autistic. After moving from Richland, she spent her childhood in Sacramento, Calif., then moved to Whalen Island in the Sandlake area. She later moved to the Astoria/Warrenton area.
Family members said she loved balloons and almost always had one with her. She collected small, black rocks of a perfection known only to her. She liked horses, pools and the beach. She was known for her paintings, many of which hang in professional offices today.
She is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen L. and Jim Derungs and Kathleen (Craft) and Steve Shaw; several nieces and nephews; and her loving caregivers of many years.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Craft.
A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11 at the Seaside Christian Church, 88786 Dellmoor Loop in Warrenton.
Interment was at Sunset Memorial Heights Cemetery.
