Sea lion theft?
At 8:53 a.m. Tuesday, Astoria Police responded to a report of a male attempting to take an injured sea lion from the East End Mooring Basin. Police said people from the Sea Shepard organization and those who use the boat ramp have been in conflict lately. The caller believed an injured sea lion on the boat ramp was being harassed. Ultimately, the police did not find that to the case, Deputy Chief Brad Johnston said.
At 2:49 p.m. Wednesday, Clatsop County Sheriffs deputies responded to a report from a female on Red Bluff Road who said her husband cut her hand with a knife. The female, Tammy Lou Murray, 55, told dispatch they had been wrestling and admitted to having a gun in her hand when she was cut. The Elsie Vinemaple Rural Fire Protection District also responded to the scene. Murray was arrested for menacing and pointing a firearm. She was booked into the Clatsop County Jail.
At 2:33 a.m. today, Astoria Police responded to a report of a disturbance between two males at the Labor Temple Cafe. Officers arrived and arrested Timothy Joseph Kindred, 34, for fourth-degree assault. Kindred was booked into the Clatsop County Jail.
At 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, Clatsop County Sheriffs deputies conducted a field interview of subjects near Burger King. Deputies arrested Jason Alexander Moores, 28, for possession of a controlled substance and Matthew Alexander Norris, 21, for unlawful possession of heroin. Both were booked into the Clatsop County Jail.
