DUII arrest
At 8:47 a.m. Tuesday, Clatsop County Sheriff's officers responded to reports of a vehicle in a ditch on Oregon Highway 202 near the fairgrounds. Officers arrived and found Russell Edward Evans, 55, of Portland, uninjured. but under the influence of a prescription drug. Evans was arrested for reckless driving and driving under the influence of intoxicants.
Driver arrested
A vehicle ran across a front yard at 390 Forest Court and into a garage, landing on a deck next to a house in Seaside early Wednesday. Seaside police arrested Bradley McCaulley, 33, of Seaside, on charges of criminal mischief, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, reckless driving and attempting to elude a police officer. He was transported to the Clatsop County Jail, and the case was sent to the district attorney. The homeowner, who was asleep at the time, was not injured.
