At 5:28 p.m. Friday, Clatsop County Sheriffs deputies arrested Evan Lee Dawson, 25, for driving under the influence of intoxicants near the Peter Iredale shipwreck. Dawson was booked into the Clatsop County Jail.
At 3:29 p.m. Saturday, Clatsop County Sheriffs deputies responded to a report of a swerving vehicle on Old Highway 30 near the Logger Restaurant. Deputies located Stephen Charles Gemmell, 41, and arrested him for DUII. He was booked into the Clatsop County Jail.
At 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Astoria Police responded to a multi-vehicle accident involving a bicycle at Second Street and Marine Drive. Police arrested Robert Curtis Wilson, 65, of Astoria for DUII. He was booked in the Clatsop County Jail.
At 2:08 a.m. Wednesday, Oregon State Police stopped a vehicle for failing to signal on Ridge Road near DeLaura Beach Lane in Warrenton. Troopers discovered the driver, Larryl F. Shaffer, 31, of Seaside, and his passengers, Nicholas M. Snook, 36, of Seaside, and Charles D. Marsh, 35, of Warrenton, were in possession of marijuana packaged to sell, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Shaffer was arrested for possession of meth and a warrant for felony possession of meth. Snook was arrested for possession of meth and Marsh was arrested for possession of marijuana and delivery of a controlled substance (marijuana). All three were booked into the Clatsop County Jail.
At 5:31 a.m. Saturday, Astoria Police responded to the Columbia Veterinarian Hospital at 576 31st St. The caller reported a man broke into the building, breaking a window. The caller chased the man, who ran to the Safeway gas pumps and got in a little black Honda, heading towards downtown Astoria. Police looked for the subject, who is described as 5 feet tall or shorter. Police were unable to locate the vehicle. A case was taken.
