DUII arrest• At 10:44 p.m. Monday, Astoria police arrested >PeggySue Sooter, 45, of 667 38th St., Astoria, for driving under the influence of intoxicants at 27th Street and Marine Drive. She was cited and released at Clatsop County Jail.

Vehicle break-ins• Five overnight car break-ins were reported Monday morning to Astoria police. The first was reported at 8:04 a.m. by a woman who left her car parked in the 1700 block of Jerome Avenue all weekend. She found the window smashed, the emergency brake stripped, and many items missing. At 8:21 a.m., a man reported someone attempted to steal the stereo out of his car while it was parked in a lot in the 1200 block of West Marine Drive. The other car break-ins were in the 300 block of Sixth Street, the 1500 block of Irving Avenue and the 1100 block of Franklin Avenue.

Burglary• At 12:49 p.m. Monday, Warrenton police began investigating a burglary in the 100 block of Northwest Fourth Street. Expensive electronic equipment was taken.

Theft• At 4:41 p.m. Thursday, Seaside police reported a laptop estimated at $2,300 stolen from the Best Western Oceanview at 414 N. Prom in Seaside.

Criminal mischief• At 11:20 a.m. Monday, Seaside police reported a window had been broken at 450 Avenue S in Seaside, causing $300 in damage.
