DUII arrests? At 9:35 p.m. Friday, a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy stopped Tiburcio Alejandro Gonzalez-Osoria, 31, of Sumner, Wash., on Oregon Highway 104 near Warrenton High School and arrested him for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

? At 1:58 a.m. Saturday, a deputy arrested Bill Jacob White, 18, address unavailable, for DUII on Avenue U in Seaside.

? At 4:45 p.m. Saturday, Oregon State Police stopped a green minivan on U.S. Highway 26, four miles east of the Cannon Beach junction. The driver, Daniel Joseph Lozano, 26, of Forest Grove, had been traveling west at 72 mph in a 55 mph zone and had narrowly missed a head-on collision with an eastbound car, OSP reported. After investigating, OSP determined the driver was impaired, with a blood alcohol level of 0.08 percent. A search of the vehicle yielded open containers of liquor and beer, as well as marijuana and methamphetamine, OSP reported. Lozano's four children, ages 6, 4, 3 and 1, were released to their paternal grandmother. Lozano was lodged at the Clatsop County Jail on charges including DUII, possession of a controlled substance, open container, driving while suspended and reckless driving. A charge of reckless endangering is pending. Lozano's minivan was impounded and he was set to be arraigned today in circuit court.

? At 8:28 p.m. Saturday, a deputy arrested Donald Doyle Schock, 39, address unavailable, for DUII on the 92500 block of Svensen Market Road and took him to the county jail, where he was cited and released.

At 10:45 p.m. Saturday, OSP stopped Robert D. Holmes, 60, of Seaside, on U.S. Highway 26 in Jewell for weaving and failure to maintain his lane. His blood alcohol level was 0.16 percent, OSP reported, which is twice the legal limit. Holmes was charged with DUII and open container and taken to the Seaside Police Department, where he was cited and released. His white Chevy pickup was towed.

? At 11:58 a.m. Sunday, Warrenton police arrested Daniel Justin Barr, 31, of Bonney Lake, Wash., for DUII and reckless endangerment after he headed to Warrenton from the Astoria Mini Mart, where employees reported they had refused to sell him beer because he was visibly intoxicated. Astoria police and a county sheriff's deputy assisted Warrenton police.

Traffic accident? At 1:29 p.m. Saturday, Geoffrey Malcolm Heywood, 58, of Beaverton lost control of his Yamaha motorcycle on a tight curve, laid the motorcycle down and slid off the west shoulder of Oregon Highway 202 in Olney, Oregon State Police reported. He was taken by Medix Ambulance Service to Columbia Memorial Hospital with a broken leg and other possible injuries. Personnel from the Olney-Walluski Fire Department and a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy assisted OSP.

Assault arrest? At 5:06 p.m. Saturday, Astoria police got a report of an assault taking place in a vehicle on the 500 block of 31st Street, involving a man and a woman. Police arrested Tyler Ray Morehouse, 28, of 172 Lincoln St., Astoria, for fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct and lodged him at the Clatsop County Jail.

Burglary and theft? At 6:22 a.m. Friday, the owner of an automotive repair business on the 35300 block of Oregon Highway 105 in Jeffers Gardens reported a break in. The Clatsop County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

? At 2:06 p.m. Friday, a Sheriff's deputy began investigating a case of first-degree theft on the 89700 block of Logan Road.

? At 8:28 a.m. Sunday, Astoria police got a report that one of the buildings at Clatsop Community College's MERTS campus had been broken into.

? At 9:03 p.m. Sunday, a sheriff's deputy began investigating a break-in to a cab shop on the 92300 block of Riekkola Road. Cash reportedly was taken from the cash box.
