DUII arrest? At 10:25 p.m. Tuesday, a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy arrested Patrick J. May, 26, of 2160 Lewis and Clark Road, Seaside, for driving under the influence of intoxicants on U.S. Highway 101 in Seaside. May was processed at Seaside Police Department.

Burglaries? At 12:44 p.m. Tuesday, Astoria police responded to a call from management at the Red Lion Inn, at 400 Industry St. The caller said there was a man in a room who wasn't a registered guest. The door to the room appeared to have been kicked in to gain entry. The caller reported that the man said, "I'm not waiting around. I've already stolen a car." He left in a vehicle that was stolen in Clackamas County. Police recovered the vehicle and arrested Thomas E. Riffenburg, 23, address unknown, at Emerald Heights. He was booked into the Clatsop County Jail on charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree theft and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. Riffenburg is scheduled for arraignment at 1:15 p.m. today.

? At 1:12 p.m. Tuesday, Warrenton police received a call that a couple found a 16-year-old boy in their daughter's room. Officers found and arrested Miguel Astoria, 18, of 110 NW Fourth St., Space D-12, Warrenton. He was booked into the Clatsop County Jail on charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree sex abuse. He is scheduled for arraignment at 1:15 p.m. today.

Dog bite? At 3:25 Tuesday, Warrenton police responded to a call about a dog bite at the 800 block of N.E. First Court. A father and 2-year-old child had moved in with a couple at the home. The couple's pit bull bit the child, causing injuries around her eye, ear and mouth. She was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Steve Buckelew, director of marketing at the hospital, said the injuries aren't life threatening and the child "seems to be fine."

She will likely go to Portland for plastic surgery, he said.

The dog has been quarantined by Clatsop County Animal Control as the incident is investigated.
