DUII arrests? At 9:27 p.m. Friday, Oregon State Police arrested Darel Saltzman, of 561 Beach Drive, Seaside, for driving under the influence of intoxicants on U.S. Highway 30 near Abbott Road in Knappa. He refused a breath test and was lodged at the Clatsop County Jail until he sobered up, OSP reported.

? At 9:39 p.m. Saturday, Gonzalo Tadeo Caceres, 53, of Vancouver, Wash., was arrested and charged with DUII in the 1400 block of Roosevelt Drive, Seaside.

? At 2:23 a.m. Sunday, Joel Raymond Green, 29, of 702 Country Ave., Gearhart, was charged with DUII in the 500 block of South Holladay Drive, Seaside.

? At 1:27 p.m. Monday, OSP arrested Ronald Lee Kelly, 55, of Oregon City for DUII on U.S. Highway 26, one mile east of the Cannon Beach junction, after his eastbound SUV crossed the centerline onto the westbound shoulder and knocked down a power pole. The crash took down several power lines, blocked two driveways and reduced traffic to one lane, OSP reported. Kelly and his passenger, Sharon Lopsung, 40, also of Oregon City, were taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital with injuries. Kelly was cited for DUII at the hospital and released, after refusing to give blood. The case will be referred to the Clatsop County District Attorney for consideration of additional charges. Two dogs in the vehicle were taken to Columbia Veterinary Hospital in Astoria for treatment of injuries, then impounded at the animal shelter. Personnel from the Seaside Fire Department and Oregon Department of Transportation directed traffic at the scene.

? At 2:33 a.m. today, Astoria police arrested Ismael Bautista Cruz, 22, of 6414 Sandridge Road, Long Beach, Wash., for DUII on the Astoria Bridge and had his vehicle towed.

Speeding? At 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oregon State Police stopped Sergi Pankratov, 18, of Vancouver, Wash., for going 105 mph on U.S. Highway 26, near Saddle Mountain Park Road, 10 miles east of the Cannon Beach junction. He was charged with recklessly endangering his four juvenile passengers.

? At 11:50 a.m. Monday, OSP stopped another vehicle for traveling 100 mph at the same spot. Nicholis Ross Carstensen, 19, of Tualatin, was charged with recklessly endangering his 19-year-old passenger.
