At 9:23 a.m. Monday, Astoria police received a report that a woman had tried to pass a counterfeit $100 bill at the Astoria Mini-Mart on Marine Drive.
Later that afternoon, at 2:01 p.m., Burger King on Marine Drive in Astoria reported a woman had tried to pass a $50 counterfeit bill just before 12:30 p.m.
At 2:44 p.m. Monday, Seaside police responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the 1300 block of Second Street. They arrested Aimee Jade Ballwebber, 18, of Seaside on a charge of fourth-degree assault. She was transported to the Clatsop County jail, and the case was sent to the district attorney.
At 2:01 p.m. Saturday, just after the Lektro Grand Land Parade finished winding its way through downtown Astoria, Astoria police received a report of three men sitting on a bench across from Sixth Street smoking dope and urinating in public. Nicolas Ryan Garrett, 20, of Astoria, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and heroin after a consent search of his bag turned up paraphernalia and some residue. A field test of the items turned up positive for meth and heroin. Albert Cano, 50, of Mesa, Ariz., was cited for drinking alcohol in public.
