Reckless driving

At 10:56 p.m. Thursday, Astoria police arrested Jerry Lee McFadden, 45, of 4600 N.E. 62nd Ave., Portland, on charges of reckless driving, of driving while his license was suspended and for an out-of-state parole violation at 37th Street and Lief Erikson Drive. His vehicle was towed, and he was lodged at Clatsop County Jail.


At 11:07 a.m. Thursday, a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy booked Julianne Eliana Maki, 52, residence unknown, on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and third-degree assault. She was granted conditional release about 20 minutes later.

Sex abuse

On Thursday, Oregon State Police arrested Jeffrey Ralph Helligso, 34, of an unknown address, and booked him on two charges of attempted rape, one charge of attempted sex abuse, five charges of first-degree sex abuse, three counts of sexual penetration with an object and one count of sodomy.


At 10:20 a.m. Thursday, Seaside police responded to the Seaside Factory Outlet Mall at 1111 N. Roosevelt Drive, where a door had been pried open and an ATM machine broken into. Damage to the door was estimated at $500, and to the ATM machine at $3,000.
