DUII arrests At 8:55 p.m. Friday, a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy arrested Robert Howard Sanchez, 54, of Honolulu, Hawaii, for driving under the influence of intoxicants at Marlin Avenue and U.S. Highway 101 in Warrenton. He was cited and released at the county jail.
At 2:47 a.m. Saturday, a deputy arrested William Buckley Pitts, 18, of 43915 Anderson Lane, Astoria, for DUII on U.S. Highway 30 in Burnside. He was cited at the county jail and given a conditional release.
At 7:08 p.m. Saturday, Oregon State Police arrested Donald Joseph Lounsbury, 42, of 37341 Hauger Mountain Lane, Seaside, for DUII at the junction of U.S. Highway 26 and Oregon Highway 53 in Elsie. OSP reported he was visibly intoxicated and his blood alcohol level registered 0.25 percent. He was also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon. Lounsbury was cited and released at the jail.
At 11:05 p.m. Saturday, Astoria police arrested Luke Taylor Miehe, 33, of Astoria, for DUII and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle at 15th and Duane streets. He was also cited for driving while suspended. Oregon State Police assisted with the arrest and determined that Miehe was under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant. He was lodged at the jail.
At 1:02 a.m. Sunday, Seaside police arrested Stephen Allen Fisher, 23, of 822 No. 118 Necanicum Drive for DUII and failure to obey a traffic control device at Third Avenue and Necanicum.
At 1:24 a.m. Sunday, a deputy arrested Viva Jane Tapper, 51, address unavailable, for DUII on Hamburg Street near the Astoria entrance to the Youngs Bay Bridge. She was lodged at the jail.
Drug arrest At 8:42 p.m. Sunday, Astoria police investigating a report of a stolen wallet in the 200 block of West Marine Drive, arrested Lynn Denise Anderson, 42, of Astoria for possession of methamphetamine, second-degree theft and trespass and released her. Police also arrested Catherine Ann Orazio Grimes, 55, of Astoria for disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. All of the stolen property, except for $50, was returned, police reported.
