Criminal mischief• At 1:17 p.m. Monday, Seaside police reported graffiti on the bricks at Beach Realty at 550 S. Roosevelt Drive. Patrols are being increased to discourage skateboarders.

Disturbance• At 9:12 a.m. Monday, Astoria police arrested Jan Allyson Goakey, 50, of Astoria, for criminal mischief, harassment and resisting arrest after a disturbance was reported at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Traffic accidents• At 4:34 p.m. Monday, a 19-year-old Astoria man who tried to dash across Marine Drive from Burger King in mid-block was hit by a van, Astoria police reported. Damien Smith was not injured. He was cited for failure to yield to a vehicle. The Astoria Fire Department also responded to the accident.

• At 6:29 p.m. Monday, a vehicle ran off U.S. Highway 26 at milepost 11 and landed in the ditch. Oregon State Police, Medix Ambulance and Seaside dispatch were notified.

• At 7:32 p.m. Monday, a five-vehicle accident was reported on U.S. Highway 26 at milepost 31. Oregon State Police and Elsie Vinemaple firefighters were dispatched. One person was injured and was taken to a hospital by private vehicle.
