DUII arrests

At 9:27 p.m. Friday, Astoria police arrested Edwin Clancy O'Connor, 52, of 35103 Fourth Lane, Astoria, for driving under the influence of intoxicants on West Marine Drive after a report of a possibly intoxicated man parked in the Dairy Queen parking lot.

At 2:51 a.m. Saturday, a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy arrested Juan Rosales Garcia, 25, of 1700 S. California Drive, Long Beach, Wash., for DUII on U.S. Highway 30 at Valley Creek Road.

At 5:52 p.m. Saturday, a deputy arrested Dennis Charles Bartin, 61, of 22 Spruance Drive, Astoria, in the McDonald's parking lot for DUII. He was located there after a report of a man in a white truck driving the wrong way at Eighth and Commercial streets in Astoria.

BUII arrest

At 4:36 p.m. Sunday, a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy arrested Mathew C. Malecki, 28, of Olympia, Wash., for boating under the influence of intoxicants at the John Day boat ramp and took him to the county jail.

Fires

At 8:49 a.m. Sunday, Lewis and Clark firefighters were dispatched to a chimney fire on Reith-Larson Lane.

At 1:38 p.m. Sunday, the Astoria Fire Department responded to a report of a wood shake roof on fire at a home at 930 Alameda Avenue. Astoria police assisted at the scene.

Traffic accidents

At 9:24 p.m. Saturday, a vehicle hit a utility pole at 70 W. Marine Drive. Astoria police and fire personnel responded. The vehicle was towed.

At 2:38 p.m. Sunday, a motorcycle accident was reported on Spruce Run Road at the Spruce Run Campground. A Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy and Elsie-Vinemaple Fire Department personnel responded.

Disturbance

At 9:47 p.m. Saturday, a woman who was naked from the waist up was banging on a door at Ninth Street and Klaskanine Avenue. Astoria police took her to Columbia Memorial Hospital.
