Assault arrests? At 3:37 p.m. Friday, Seaside police arrested Robert Standring, 51, of Seaside, on charges of fourth-degree assault at Trendwest/Wyndham Resort. He was booked at the Catsop County Jail. The victim was transported to Providence Seaside Hospital

? At 5:21 p.m. Friday, Seaside police arrested Zaldy F. Macalandra, 52, of Portland, on charges of fourth-degree assault and strangulation. He was booked in the Clatsop County Jail. The victim was transported to Providence Seaside Hospital.

? At 12:48 a.m. today, a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy arrested two men after responding to a disturbance at a home on the 91800 block of Youngs River Road. Troy Shawn David, 40, of Hillsboro, was charged with second-degree assault, carrying a concealed weapon, being an ex-convict in possession of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal trespass and harassment. Steve Michael Killion, 44, of Tigard was charged with fourth-degree assault, second-degree criminal trespass and harassment. Both were lodged at Clatsop County Jail and will be arraigned Tuesday in circuit court.

DUII arrests? At 9:08 p.m. Friday, Warrenton police arrested Bryan James Salo, 37, of 1832 Fourth St., Astoria, for driving under the influence of intoxicants on the 700 block of 14th Street in Warrenton. He was cited and released at the Clatsop County Jail.

? At 10:52 a.m. Friday, Astoria police arrested Judith Anne O'Grady, 44, of 1930 S.E. Main Ave., Warrenton, for DUII on the 1100 block of Marine Drive. She was cited and released at the county jail.

? At 1:29 a.m. Saturday, Astoria police arrested Enrique Peguero Medina, 41, address unknown, for DUII on West Marine Drive at Bay Street. He was also cited for failure to carry a drivers license. He was lodged at the county jail.

? At 3:36 a.m. Sunday, Seaside police arrested Lisa M. Hardy, 28, of Portland, on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants. She was booked and released.

? At 5:33 p.m. Sunday, Astoria police arrested Vicki Anne Palo, 48, of 886 Florence Ave., Astoria, for DUII on the old Youngs Bay Bridge after receiving a report of a person in a gray sedan driving erratically. She was also charged with reckless driving, resisting arrest and driving while suspended. Palo was cited and released at the county jail.

Vandalism? At 10:54 a.m. Friday, a person discovered a tire was slashed on his vehicle overnight while it was parked on the first block of West Bond Street. He told Astoria police he found a knife blade in the tire. Damage is estimated at $150.

? At 9:29 p.m. Saturday, a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy cited some juveniles and released them to their parents after receiving a call that someone was shooting paint balls at houses on the 94400 block of Rudat Road in the Knappa area.

Traffic accident? At 9:33 a.m. Saturday, a head-on collision was reported on U.S. Highway 26 about a mile east of the David Douglas summit involving a silver van and a red SUV. A witness reported a snow plow was at the scene. Oregon State Police, a Clatsop County Sheriff's deputy and Medix Ambulance responded.

House fire? At 8:55 p.m. Saturday, a fire was reported at the home of Garry Matson, 92582 Astor Drive in the John Day area, east of Astoria. Knappa Fire Chief Paul Olheiser said embers from the chimney caught the shake roof on fire. He said there was some water damage to the home, but not much structure damage. The Astoria Fire Department sent an engine and four firefighters to assist and the one available John Day Volunteer Fire Department also responded.

Suspicious circumstances? At 9:49 p.m. Sunday, Warrenton police responded to a call from someone who said an unknown person was turning the door knob of their home. Police determined it was their dog, trying to get back in the house.
