Traffic accidents• At 4:24 p.m. Thursday, Oregon State Police arrested Joseph M. Strozzi Jr., 50, of Seaside, for reckless driving on U.S. Highway 101 near the Cannon Beach junction. He had been reported to be speeding as he drove south on 101, before he attempted an unsafe U-turn and collided with a car driven by Isac A. Plagmann, 25, of Tillamook, OSP reported.

• At 2:48 p.m. Tuesday, Seaside police reported a car rolled down a 20-foot hill at Tillamook Head and crashed into landscaping boulders, which brought it to a halt. The driver, identified as George Kafrouni, 67, of La Canada, Calif., said when he put the car in park, it kept rolling. Kafrouni was not injured, but the car had more than $1,500 in damage.

Theft• At 3:01 p.m. Wednesday, Seaside police reported a wallet was stolen from the Pig 'N Pancake at 323 Broadway Drive. One of the credit cards was later used for a $1,998 charge in Portland.

Drummed out• At 10:08 p.m. Thursday, Astoria police unlocked the doors of the Astoria Elks Lodge, 453 11th St., and freed members of a band who had accidentally been locked inside the building.
