Traffic accident? At noon Sunday, a rental car occupied by five students from Concordia University in Portland ran off U.S. Highway 26 at the Cannon Beach junction after missing the sharp turn onto U.S. Highway 101, Oregon State Police reported. One passenger, Tamayo Hoya, 26, was taken to Providence Seaside Hospital by ambulance with a possible fractured vertebra in her neck. Another passenger, Tie Hun Kim, 26, sustained a minor injury. OSP said the driver, Piljin Jeon, 26, was unfamiliar with the road and speed was not a factor in the crash. He was not cited.
