Traffic accident? At 12:28 a.m. today, the Astoria Fire Department and Astoria police responded to an accident on 16th and Commercial streets. Sharon K. Nault, 69, of Astoria, had crashed her four-door Kia automobile into a power pole. There were no injuries reported.
Chimney fire response? Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a chimney fire Tuesday night in the 3200 block of Seascape Lane. There was no damage, and no injuries occurred.
Furnishing alcohol to minors? At 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, Seaside police cited Edward Dolfay, 63, for furnishing alcohol to a minor at Recreation Lanes, 3518 Highway 101. The citation was in conjunction with an Oregon Liquor Control Commission program where a person under age 21 asks for alcohol from a bartender. The person's identification was checked, but although it indicated he was under the legal drinking age, he was given a beer.
? At 5:16 p.m. Tuesday, Seaside police cited Marlieen Irish, 73, for furnishing alcohol to a minor at the Great Wall Restaurant, 4340 U.S. Highway 101. The citation was in conjunction with an Oregon Liquor Control Commission program that uses an underage person who asks a bartender for alcohol. The person was furnished alcohol even though his identification was checked and indicated he was underage.
