Orson Perry Johnson, 64, of Grants Pass, died on Tuesday, April 18 in Grants Pass.

Orson was born on February 3, 1942 in Hallock, Minnesota to Ernest O. and Joyce K. (Folland) Johnson. In 1956, the Johnson family relocated to Clatsop County. Orson enjoyed working on the family farm in Knappa and had a special love for tending to the animals.

Orson moved to Grants Pass in 1998, where he resided until his passing last Tuesday. He loved to travel, loved children, and loved to laugh. Orson will be missed by his family and his many friends in Grants Pass.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Corder of Seaside; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Joy and Jim Roehr and Edi and Joe Roshau of Astoria; his brother, Jim Johnson of Astoria and his sister, Kathleen Johnson of Seattle, Wash. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as a number of great nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest O. Johnson and sister, Sam Traver.

A private graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Astoria.
