Next week paving crews will be working on Lewis and Clark and Logan roads. There will be a two-hour road closure from 7 to 9 a.m. Monday on Tucker Creek Lane at the intersection of Tucker Creek and Logan Road because of paving at that intersection. County crews will be excavating on Aldrich Point Road installing culverts. Expect traffic delays in both of these locations.

Weather permitting, herbicide application will continue. This is the first notice of a bridge closure at Rodney Acres Bridge on Dolphin Road, starting May 11 and lasting for two weeks. Major repairs will be done on the bridge at this time.

Also next week, the Oregon Department of Transportation will continue work on the Astoria Bridge. The project involves recoating the steel on the northern side of the r iver.

The scheduled work includes coating structural steel underneath the bridge deck. A 35 mph speed limit through the construction zone will be maintained for the duration of the project. Flaggers will control single-lane traffic during construction activities as required. In May, lane delays will be allowed anytime on weekdays starting Sunday at midnight through 6 p.m. Friday. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes during the daytime. Motorists are urged to drive through the area with caution.

On Oregon Highway 53, a crew will be working at the Necanicum River Bridge, milepost 0.06 to milepost 0.18. This project consists of replacing a bridge just south of the junction with U.S. Highway 26.

The scheduled work includes installation of the temporary detour road. Flaggers will control single-lane traffic during construction activities as required. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes during the daytime. Motorists should drive through the area with caution. 

Work will also continue rebuilding and repaving the roadway on U.S. Highway 101 between the south end of Tillamook and Farmer Creek Road. 

The scheduled work includes installation of a new concrete deck overlay on the Trask River Bridge at mile post 67.98, along with guardrail and bridge rail installation at the Trask River, South Prairie Creek, Facwcett Creek and Anderson Creek Bridges. In addition, roadway reconstruction will occur at approximately mile post 73. During roadway reconstruction, expect lane shifts. Flaggers will control single-lane traffic during construction activities as required. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes. Drive through the area with caution.
