SEASIDE - An estimated 67 Pacific Power customers in Seaside are expected to be without electricity for about four hours the morning of Wednesday, June 20, while Pacific Power crews complete maintenance work to improve service reliability in the area.
The expected time of the outage, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., was set to minimize the inconvenience as much as possible for customers. There is always a chance the time or date may need to change due to weather or other factors. If so, affected customers will be notified.
The area affected is along Sunset Boulevard down Highland Drive and over to Evergreen Drive; it will impact customers along these streets and also the streets in between. There are no affected traffic lights. Customers in the area have been notified individually about the outage.
"We really appreciate the patience of our customers when planned outages such as this are needed," said Sheila Holden, Pacific Power regional community manager. "Shutting off the power while a key part of this work is done on our electrical system ensures everyone is safe, and helps ensure reliable power is available to everyone in the community when we're done."
If customers have questions about the planned outage, they can call Pacific Power at 1-888-221-7070. Any outages during that time outside the affected area should continue to be reported to Pacific Power at 1-877-508-5088.
