Police seek public’s help in locating stolen painting

<p class="p1">This painting, “Running Wild,” was stolen from the Cannery Pier Hotel Friday.</p>

A painting was stolen from the Cannery Pier Hotel last week.

Now police are hoping for the public’s help in recovering it.

At 4:20 p.m. Friday, Astoria Police responded to a report from the hotel at 10 Basin Street. The painting, which depicts swimming salmon, is believed to have been stolen between 2 and 4 p.m.

The painting, “Running Wild” measures at 36-inches by 36-inches and is an original canvas. It is estimated at $2,700.

So far there are no suspects in the case.
