Now, it's truly summer. The spring rains have disappeared, the lawns are getting brown, and in Salem House Speaker Tina Kotek gaveled to a close the 2013 Legislative Session.

Some stuff got done, but no grand bargains on education funding and pension reform ... yet.

The lawmakers did come up with some help for Oregon's most financially-distressed counties.

And out in other Oregon counties, voters started efforts to keep genetically-modified crops out of the ground.
