The Port of Astoria Commission, which is searching for new executive director, has narrowed its search to four final candidates, it was announced Friday. 

After approximately four years with the Port, Jack Crider vacated the executive director position April 30 and started as chief executive officer at Humboldt Bay Harbor, Recreation and Conservation District in California May 1.

The Daily Astorian has filed a public records request with the Port seeking the names of the finalists in the public interest.
