The Port of Astoria's project advisory committee for the Skipanon Natural Gas Facility will meet 3 p.m. Friday. Although no public comments will be taken, the meeting is open to the public.

The committee will hear updates about the status of the project from the port and from Calpine Corp., the energy company that has proposed building a liquefied natural gas terminal in Warrenton, and address other questions, concerns and support regarding the project.

The meeting will be at the port offices at No. 1 Portway St. in Astoria.
