Protester Rally at UO Campus: Social Media Reaction

Oregon Public Broadcasting

Today, members of the UO Coalition to End Sexual Violence gathered on the University of Oregon campus to protest the administration's response to a recent sexual assault case involving four students.

The protest started at noon and seems to have drawn dozens of people to the campus, touting picket signs and also their smartphones. Many have taken to Twitter to share opinions on hashtags like #IStandWithSurvivors, #SurvivorOverSports and #WeWantAnswers. Some are using #GoDucks, a popular hashtag stream that is usually used with sports tweets.

The rally was AMAZING thank you so much to those who came out and showed your support! #WEWANTANSWERS

So proud of #UO students, staff, and faculty at the #rally@Univ_Of_Oregon against #rapeculture & the uni's complicity. Wish I was there too
