The U.S. House of Representatives is debating a bill that would increase logging on federal forest lands in the Northwest. Oregon Rep. Greg Walden, one of the top-ranking House Republicans, says he expects the bill to pass. Adding to the drama, late yesterday the White House budget office announced that the president may veto the bill.
