In politics, you win some and lose some. That was certainly true for Democrats in the Oregon House Wednesday.

A much-hyped vote on a $275 million tax hike didn't go as planned when Democrats couldn't round up enough Republican votes.

But a couple of hours later, Democrats scored a victory when their version of a public pension cost-cutting plan squeaked through.
