Clatsop Community College has announced the release of the 2012 edition of RAIN Magazine, and will host a public reading and reception at 6 p.m. Thursday in the CCC Art Center Gallery, 1799 Lexington Ave. in Astoria. 

Many of this year’s contributors will read excerpts from their published work, and original artwork from this year’s magazine will also be on display. Refreshments will be served, and complimentary copies of this limited edition CCC publication will be available.

Following the debut, copies of RAIN Magazine will be available at the CCC Library, Bookstore and South County Center and at several North Coast business locations, including the Astoria Cooperative, Lucy’s Books, T. Paul’s Supper Club & Urban Café, Seaside Station, Beach Books, Labor Temple, Geno’s Pizza ‘n Burgers, Lunar Boy Gallery, Baked Alaska, Cloud & Leaf Books, Yoga Namaste, The Daily Astorian, Area Properties, Portway Tavern, Fort George Brewery, Lower Columbia Bowl, Blue Scorcher, Coffee Girl and the Cannery Pier Hotel. One issue per family is suggested, along with a $5 donation.  

RAIN Magazine 2012 was made possible because of donations from local individuals and businesses.
