Seaside - Registration is open for Oregon State University Extension's Master Watershed Stewards Program, taking place in Seaside this spring.

The program consists of eight evening workshops and four Saturday field trips covering everything from salmon biology to soils, estuaries, river processes and water quality. Workshops run begin Tuesday and run until the end of June.

To become a Master Watershed Steward, a participant needs to attend all eight trainings and complete a volunteer stewardship project. Workshops can also be taken individually. For more information, or to register for the program, call the Clatsop County Extension Office at (503) 325-8573.
