The Clatsop County Economic Development Council will explore the relationship between a healthy economy and availability of quality health care at this month's dinner forum.

Terry Finklein, chief executive officer of Columbia Memorial Hospital, will speak on "Health Care Services: Their Impact on and Relationship to Economic Development in Clatsop County." He also will share the current profile of Columbia Memorial Hospital and a vision for its future.

The forum will be held Sept. 27, at the Duncan K .Law Seafood Consumer Center, 2021 Marine Drive, Astoria. However, reservations for the dinner must be made by 2 p.m. Thursday by calling the Clatsop County Community Development Department at 325-8611.

When making reservations, please alert staff if you have any dietary or health considerations that need to be accommodated. Those who plan to attend the meeting, regardless of needing a dinner reservation, are also asked to notify the Community Development staff so necessary arrangements can be made.

Networking and hors d'oeuvres will begin at 6 p.m. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. will feature baked rockfish with shrimp and roasted bell pepper butter. Cost is $18 per person.

There is no charge to attend the meeting without dinner. The business meeting and program begin at 7:15 p.m.
