Republican voters in Clatsop County and part of Tillamook County chose Rick Rose as their candidate to run for House District 32.

Rose, who operates Rose’s Adult Foster Care in Warrenton, will run against incumbent Democratic Rep. Deborah Boone of Cannon Beach in November.

Rose received 78 percent or 1,240 votes in the Clatsop County primary with his opponent Louis DeMartino receiving 322.

In the north portion of Tillamook County, Rose received 564 votes and DeMartino received 225.

Boone ran unopposed Tuesday in the Democratic primary. She has held the seat for the past 10 years.

Rose said he would address government waste if elected to the House seat.
