Rotary District 5100 is accepting applications for a one-month educational tour of four Central American countries: Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Nicaragua.

The trip, scheduled for April, 2006, is part of Rotary International's Group Study Exchange program.

Applicants must be between ages 25 and 40, engaged or employed in a profession for at least two years, and live within the district boundary in Northern Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Rotary provides round-trip air fare, lodging and most meals.

Candidates are expected to be comfortable with the Spanish language and will meet periodically to gain a knowledge of the history, culture, geography and demographics of the four countries included on the itinerary.

Applications and additional information are available from Sandy McDowall, group study exchange chairwoman, Seaside Rotary Club (503) 738-9515 or e-mail at (sandy@freedomnw.com).

Applications are due by Tuesday and interviews are scheduled for Sept. 10.
