Managers of the Select Area Fishery Evaluation program will hold a meeting on expected fall salmon returns from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Youngs Bay Yacht Club.

Data on fall 2006 and spring 2007 SAFE returns at Youngs Bay, Tongue Point, Blind Slough, Deep River and Steamboat Slough will be reviewed at the meeting, as well as the expected returns for this fall.

SAFE is a salmon-rearing program that utilizes net pens off the Columbia River channel to enhance recreational and commercial harvest opportunities. The public is invited to comment on the upcoming season.
