SEASIDE — Children will be able to attend a fair and a rodeo all at the same time Saturday and learn about bicycle safety.

The fifth annual Child Safety Fair with Bicycle Rodeo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Seaside Volunteer Fire Department, 150 N. Lincoln St.

The event will include a child safety seat inspection and several safety booths for children and families. Safety lessons will focus on poison, power lines, water and fire, among other topics.

Those participating in the bicycle rodeo will receive bicycle and helmet inspections and test their talents on a bicycle skills course.

Everyone completing each stage of the fair will be eligible for prizes, including a girl’s and boy’s bicycle.

Sponsors for the event include Safe Kids North Coast, Astoria Fire & Rescue, Seaside Police Department, Seaside Volunteer Fire Department, Sunset Empire Park and Recreation District, Medix, Seaside Kiwanis, Providence Seaside Hospital, Pizza Harbor, Prom Bike & Hobby Shop and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
