LONG BEACH, Wash. - The Chinook Observer, sister paper to The Daily Astorian, has a new advertising manager. She is Sheryl Schisler, who was until recently a co-owner of Okie's Sentry in Ocean Park and Okie's Select in Naselle.

Schisler takes over from Sondra Nash, who worked at the Observer for five years, the last three as advertising manager. Nash is moving to Scottsdale, Ariz., where her new husband Jim Eaton, will attend the Mundus Institute in pursuit of a degree in golf course management.

Schisler has worked at Bank of America for eight years. She was a Portland Trailblazers dancer in 1992, coaches cheerleaders and is an advisor for the Loyalty Day Court Committee.

"I'm really excited to meet the expectations of people when it comes to building their businesses through advertising," she said.
