Winter storm warnings remain in several areas across the state, but commuters found only rain this morning on the Portland valley floor.
Warnings were in effect in the Eastern Douglas County foothills and South Central Oregon including the Siskiyou Mountains and Southern Oregon Cascades as well as the east slopes of the Cascades.
Many school districts, including the Portand Public schools, had buses on snow routes.
Forecasters say the storm could bring heavy snow to some areas until Thursday.
They say the valley floor is the hardest to predict, and it's possible that some snow will mix with rain.
That's especially likely in western Washington County, around Forest Grove.
